Collingham & Linton
Collingham is a quintessential English village conveniently situated close to Wetherby, Harewood and Bardsey. It also just 11 miles from Leeds city centre, making it an ideal choice for commuters.
The village has a choice of amenities including a supermarket, post office and a doctor’s surgery, along with a number of other independent shops which mean residents don’t have to venture far for those everyday essentials.
There is also a pub , Cromwell’s Bar and Kitchen, and the excellent Piccolino Italian restaurant attracts diners from far and wide.
The immediate area offers a wide choice of recreational amenities with Collingham and Linton Sports Association being among the very best facilities around. The beautiful open countryside and the banks of the River wharf which are a feature of this area are popular spots for walkers and cyclists.
Schools
For such a semi-rural area there is a great choice of schools. These include; Collingham Lady Elizabeth Hastings’ Church of England Primary, Bardsey Primary, Deighton Gates Primary, Primrose Lane Primary, Crossley Street Primary , Wetherby High School and Gateways.
Transport
The A58 and A659 both pass through the village providing easy access to Leeds, Wetherby and the A1 (M) motorway. Collingham is also served by a number of buses including the X98 and X99 which run regular services to Leeds.
Linton
Linton is small village located close to Collingham and just 1.5 miles south-west of Wetherby.
Known for its picturesque views and tranquil atmosphere, Linton offers a quieter and gentler pace of life, albeit with a whole range of amenities required for everyday living on the doorstep.
Not to be outdone by the likes of Collingham, Linton boasts its own traditional village pub, The Windmill and the historic Wood Hall Hotel and Spa is located on the outskirts of the village.
