area guide - East Keswick

News at Furnell Residential | 21/02/2020

The Lower Wharfedale village of East Keswick is in a conservation area surrounded by farmland in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Wetherby, Harrogate and Leeds.

It has two churches, a butcher, a twice-weekly post ofice and two pubs.

Amongst the other amenities is East Keswick Village Hall which acts as a real hub for the entire community. On any given day you will find a host of clubs and activities taking place including; badminton, art, horticulture, short mat bowling, a toddlers group, embroidery and patchwork classes, Women's Institute, keep fit and the local history group. The hall is also the venue for the annual East Keswick Beer Festival.

The nearest school is Bardsey Primary School and more locally there is Busy Bees, a day nursery and pre-school.

The village is situated close to the A58 which runs between Leeds and Wetherby and is also within easy reach of the M1 and A1 making communting and those longer than average car journeys easy. However the distance to the main roads is sufficient so as not to affect the tranquil ambience which is a real feature of East Keswick life.

Ben Furnell, Managing Director of Furnell Residential, said: "East Keswick is a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming community located just four miles from Wetherby with its wide range of shops, restaurants and recreational facilities.

"It is an area we know extremely well and we can use this unrivalled local knowledge to help both sellers and buyers achieve their dream move."
