Sales of a booklet detailing the Ainsty Crescent Children’s Party in 1953 to celebrate the Coronation of the late and much loved Queen Elizabeth II has raised £250.00 for charity.

The booklet was first published in 2009 by the Wetherby’s Old Men’s Parliament and was reproduced from the original hand written documentation retrieved from a tip in Thorp Arch.

All proceeds will go to Morrison’s chosen charity, ‘Together for Short Lives.’

Lauren Furnell of Bardsey based estate agent Furnell Residential who sponsored the reprinting of the booklet said: “We are pleased that sales of the booklet has benefitted a very worthy cause.”
