december performance gives cause for optimism

News at Furnell Residential | 13/01/2020

Furnell Residential reported its best month of 2019 in December, fuelling cautious optimism for the residential sector in 2020.

The Bardsey based agent sold stock to the value of approximately £3.5M in the final month of the decade, with a number of deals completing after the general election.

Ben Furnell, Managing Director of Furnell Residential, said: "The result of the general election definitely restored some customer confidence and we were completing sales and taking on new instructions right up until Christmas which is highly unusual.

" However this by no means suggests we are out of the woods. Brexit uncertainty will still be a feature of the New Year as details of the type of Brexit we can expect become clearer.

"I definitely think it is far too early to talk about large price rises over the next 12 months, with moderate growth of around two per cent being more realistic."
