News at Furnell Residential | 06/06/2022

The Furnell Residential sponsored Clifford Champion Beer Festival 2022 has been officially launched.

Ben and Victoria Furnell were joined by local TV personalities Harry Gration and Christine Talbot at the launch at Kirkstall Brewery in Leeds, ahead of the event at the village Hall in Clifford on Saturday, June 25th.

Also raising a glass to toast a successful festival were brewery founder Steve Holt, along with Tim Downes and Andy Poulter who are responsible for selecting all the beers being served.

Furnell’s Managing Director Ben Furnell, said: “As a community focussed company we are thrilled to be supporting the Champion Beer Festival which raises valuable funds for Clifford Amateur Football Club and the village hall.

“A lot of hard work has clearly gone into the organisation and we wish all those involved a successful event.”

In total over 30 real ales will be available including Festival and Champion beers and a brew named ‘News Headlines’ from Kirkstall Brewery in recognition of Harry and Christine. There will also be cider, wine and a prosecco and gin bar.

Tim Downes from the beer festival committee said: “We have put together a fantastic assortment of beers to suit all palates.

“With Covid having prevented the festival taking place for the last two years we are determined to make this year’s event the biggest and best ever and wish to thank Ben and the team at Furnell for their generous support.”

The festival runs from 12 noon to 11pm on Saturday June 25th at Clifford Village Hall and entrance is £6.00.
