Furnell sponsored golf day raises thousands

A golf day sponsored by Furnell Residential has raised nearly £10,000 for St Gemma's Hospice.

The Bingley Arms 953ad Golf Day in support of St Gemma's and in memory of former landlord Ged Sugden took place at the Leeds Golf Centre and was well attended by local busineses and regulars at the popular pub in the heart of Bardsey village.

The 18 hole team competition was played in blustery conditions and included a beat the pro competition on one of the testing par 3's.to help bolster the fund-raising. Unfortunately Team Furnell failed to feature on the leaderboard. 

Ben Furnell, managing director of Furnell Residential said: "It was once again a pleasure to be involved with this fantastic event. A lot of hard work goes into making it happen and the efforts of all those involved were rewarded by the amount of money raised.

"St Gemma's is a place we have a very personal connection with, which makes it all the more special for us to give our support."
