furnell sponsors fundraising golf day

Furnell Residential has sponsored an annual charity golf day in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.

The event at Moor Allerton Golf Club is held in memory of Ged Sugden, a former landlord of the Bingley Arms public house in Bardsey, and is now in its eighth year.

Event Organiser Matthew Brighton said: “The day is a fitting way to remember Ged, while at the same time raising much needed funds for St Gemma’s. I want to thank Furnell Residential for their kind sponsorship along with all those who took part or donated items to the raffle and auction.

“The course was in fantastic condition and we were once again blessed with lovely weather which was reflected in the excellent scoring.”

Ben Furnell, managing director of Furnell Residential, commented: “The wonderful St Gemma’s Hospice is our chosen charity to whom we make a donation for every house we sell. When Matthew approached us about the golf day we were more than happy to continue our support”.
