Furnell Residential has once again shown its commitment to the community by supporting the St Gemma’s Hospice annual Easter Knits fundraising campaign.

The Bardsey-based independent estate agent has generously donated an amazing 200 crème eggs which are placed inside hand-knitted Easter chick covers, lovingly crafted by an army of volunteers. They are then sold in schools and other venues across the area.

Mia Senior, Community Fundraising Manager at St Gemma’s Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Furnell Residential for their generous donation of crème eggs, which will make a huge difference to our Easter fundraising efforts.

“Thanks also to our wonderful knitters who produce the most amazing creations and all those individuals who have sold them for us over the years. The money raised from initiatives like these directly benefits many patients and their families through the most difficult of times.”

Furnell Residential has long supported local charitable and community based initiatives, and this donation reinforces their dedication to giving back.

Ben Furnell, managing director of Furnell Residential, said: “The wonderful St Gemma’s Hospice is our chosen charity so when we were approached about the possibility of providing the eggs for their Easter fundraiser, we had no hesitation in saying ‘yes’.”

Furnell Residential is a family-owned estate agency based in Bardsey, covering North Leeds, Wetherby, York, Tadcaster, Harrogate, and surrounding areas.
