Furnell supports St Gemma's Easter fundraising egg-travaganza

News at Furnell Residential | 21/03/2024

Furnell Residential has supported an annual Easter fundraising initiative for St Gemma’s Hospice.

The Bardsey based estate agent has donated a whopping 400 crème eggs which are placed in an assortment of hand knitted Easter chick egg covers and sold in schools and other venues across the area.

The colourful egg covers are produced by an army of knitters who willingly give up their spare time to produce the colourful creations.

Steph Jackson, Community Fundraiser at St Gemma’s, said: “We cannot thank Furnell enough for donating such a vast quantity of crème eggs along with a giant Easter egg, and for their support of the Hospice generally.

“It is thanks to companies like Furnell that allows us to provide on-going support to patients, their families and friends, both in the Hospice and the wider community.

“A big shout-out also to Gail Jackson and all the other knitters who come up with the most amazing egg covers year after year.”

Ben Furnell, managing director of Furnell Residential, added: “The wonderful St Gemma’s Hospice is our chosen charity to whom we make a donation for every house we sell.

“When we were approached regarding the eggs for their Easter fundraiser we had no hesitation in agreeing to support such a worthy cause.”

St Gemma’s Hospice provides the best possible care for local people with cancer and other threatening illnesses and is one of the leading Hospices in the UK.

Furnell Residential is a family owned estate agency based in Bardsey covering North Leeds, Wetherby, York, Tadcaster, Harrogate and surrounding areas.
