Seven Yorkshire postcodes have made it into a prestigious guide of the best places to live in the UK.
Amongst the places included in the Sunday Times Best Places to Live Guide 2019 is Leeds city centre. The panel of experts said its popularity had increased significantly, not least due to the imminent arrival of Channel 4's national head office.
Meanwhile York tops the list of the 10 best places to live in the north of England.
Other names on the list include the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire in the heart of the Aire Valley which appears for the first time, as does the commuter village of Boston Spa, near Wetherby.
The small market town of Pateley Bridge retains its place on the list and Beverley makes the northern top 10 for the second year running. Driffield, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, completes the magnificent seven.
Ben Furnell, Managing Director of Furnell Residential, said: "It is great to see Yorkshire postcodes so well represented in such a prestigious list. The places selected for inclusion highlight perfectly the diversity of this great county, from the bustling city of Leeds, to the beauty of Pateley Bridge and the historic village of Saltaire.
"The county really does have something for everyone and benefits from exceptional transport links, good schools and property options to suit all budgets and lifestyles."
